What Is Fascia?

What To Expect In Your Session

Myofascial Release is a form of therapeutic bodywork that allows for a change to the connective tissues through contraction and release.

Using your own body weight and resistance, you are moved through various points of tension until the tissue is unwound.

This therapy effectively removes restrictions physically, mentally, emotional, and energetically.

Work through physical pains and emotional tensions while gaining the benefit of stretching and strengthening - all in one session.

No two fascia systems are alike.

Finding a therapist that can feel the individuality of your tissue is the key to releasing years of stored tension and trauma.

Fascia

Your fascia is the living scaffolding of your body and can be affected by things such as injuries, repetitive motion and restrictive actions (such as sitting too long) as well as emotional, psychological, and energetic trauma (including longstanding difficult situations). In an effort to heal itself, your fascia will get more restrictive as new layers are created by your body.

Myofascial release therapy naturally removes the adhesions in your connective tissue that form during any emotional, physical, psychological or energetic trauma. As the adhesions and the scar tissue are released, the trauma is also released, and the body returns to its state prior to the trauma.
